GRIEF SUPPORT

WHEN THE JOURNEY CHANGES, WE’RE STILL BY YOUR SIDE

At Superior Hospice, our care doesn’t end with a patient’s passing. We’re here to walk alongside you and your loved ones with heartfelt grief support for the days, months, and moments that follow.

INTRODUCTION

KNOW THAT YOU ARE NOT ALONE IN YOUR GRIEF JOURNEY

Grieving the loss of a loved one is a natural process that looks different for every individual.
Like waves in an ocean, grief can sometimes be subtle and hardly noticeable, while at other times it pulls your feet right out from under you.

Whatever your natural grieving process is, we are here to support you through these new challenges, offering compassionate bereavement groups to partake in your grief, practical resources to guide you through this trying time, funeral and remembrance services that honor your loved one’s legacy — and a shoulder you can always lean on.

SERVICES OVERVIEW

FIND PEACE AND HEALING IN THE WAKE OF LOSS

Whether you’re navigating quiet days or difficult anniversaries, we provide compassionate grief support services designed to bring comfort, clarity, and connection to individuals and families throughout the grieving process.

Grief Resources

Grief is unique to every individual — and so is the way we process it. We offer a range of compassionate resources for adults, teens, and children navigating loss, from curated reading lists to educational mailings and personalized referrals. Whether you’re seeking understanding, language to talk about grief with your children, or simply a place to begin the grieving journey, you’ll find guidance here. You don’t have to figure it out on your own.

No one should have to walk through grief alone. Our monthly support groups provide a safe, welcoming space to share stories, find comfort, and connect with others who understand what you’re going through. Led by trained hospice professionals, these sessions offer guidance, healing, and a sense of community throughout your grief journey. All are welcome — whether you’ve received care through Superior Hospice or not.

We understand how emotionally overwhelming planning a funeral can be. That’s why our care team — which includes chaplains and ordained ministers from diverse religious backgrounds — are here to provide spiritual guidance and meaningful support during this deeply personal time. Whether you need someone to officiate a service, read scripture, or simply be present, we are honored to walk beside you and your family. Our goal is to create a service that brings comfort, connection, and peace.

Healing begins with remembrance. Superior Hospice hosts two memorial services each year — one in the spring and one during the holiday season — to honor the lives of those we’ve lost. Whether in a moment of celebration or sorrow, these gatherings offer a space for reflection and connection, bringing together families, friends, and caregivers who share a common bond.
