Support that adapts to every moment

LEVELS OF HOSPICE CARE

Hospice care isn’t one-size-fits-all. As needs change, so does the type of care we provide. At Superior Hospice, we offer four levels of hospice care — each one designed to meet you where you are, whether you’re facing a quiet day at home or an urgent moment that calls for extra help.

No matter the level, our promise remains the same: to surround you and your loved ones with dignity, expertise, and unwavering compassion.

Comfort, right where you are

ROUTINE HOME CARE

Routine home care is the most common level of hospice care — and often, the most comforting. It’s designed for patients whose symptoms are stable and can be managed in the place they call home. Whether that’s a private residence, assisted living facility, or nursing home, we come to you. Your hospice team visits regularly to monitor your condition, manage medications, provide personal care, and offer emotional and spiritual support. This level of care focuses on presence — being there with you and for you.
Staying home — even during difficult moments

CONTINUOUS HOME CARE

Sometimes, symptoms become overwhelming — pain, anxiety, breathing trouble, or sudden health changes. Continuous home care steps in during those crisis periods to offer around-the-clock support and help avoid unnecessary hospitalization.

Our team provides focused, hands-on care right at home, ensuring your comfort and safety as we stabilize symptoms and restore peace.

Rest for caregivers. Comfort for patients

INPATIENT RESPITE CARE

Caring for someone you love can be both meaningful and exhausting. Respite care offers short-term relief — a way for caregivers to rest, recharge, or tend to other needs while knowing their loved one is in trusted hands.

During respite care, the patient stays in a nursing facility for up to five consecutive days, receiving full hospice support. It’s not just a break — it’s a chance to breathe

Expert care for complex needs

GENERAL INPATIENT CARE

There are times when symptoms become too difficult to manage at home — severe pain, uncontrolled nausea, agitation, or other acute medical concerns. General inpatient care provides intensive support in a hospital, hospice unit, or skilled nursing facility, giving patients access to expert care in a calm, compassionate environment.

This level of care is short-term and focuses entirely on stabilizing symptoms so the patient can return home if and when they’re ready.

Compassionate care begins with clarity

UNDERSTANDING ELIGIBILITY

Eligibility for hospice and each level of care is determined through a careful review of the patient’s needs, symptoms, and overall condition — always with respect for your preferences and goals.

Our team works closely with patients, families, and physicians to ensure the right level of care is provided at the right time.
